There are lots of misconceptions about type 2 diabetes, and it is quite unfortunate that most people know little or nothing about this health condition. Now before we go-ahead to talk about these facts, lets first define type 2 diabetes.
The American Diabetes Association (ADA) defines type 2 diabetes as “A chronic health condition which causes the blood glucose levels to be higher than normal” It is also known as adult-onset diabetes, noninsulin-dependent diabetes or simply non-insulin diabetes.
A case of abnormally high glucose in the blood is also termed ‘hypoglycaemia’.
